LORENA CHAMBERS is the CEO and co-founder of Chambers
Lopez & Gaitán LLC, a niche communications agency, where she is
the chief political strategist and oversees paid media programs
that include television, radio, print and internet. She consults as a
media strategist with expertise in creating integrated communications
plans, key messaging and creative advertising spots to reach Latinos.
A
graduate of UCLA and the University of Michigan, Ms. Chambers
was the Hispanic media consultant for Kerry-Edwards 2004
and the Democratic National Committee; the chief Hispanic strategist
for The New Democrat Network, the 2002 Democratic Congressional Campaign
Committee, and Mark Warner's 2001 gubernatorial campaign. In the midAtlantic
region, she developed the creative strategy and messaging for a third-party
independent buy for Kathleen Kennedy Townsend's 2002 Maryland gubernatorial
race as well as local races in Northern Virginia.
In addition, she designed
and spearheaded first-time Hispanic marketing initiatives
for the statewide anti-predatory practice campaign for
California's Department of Corporations, Provident Bank, Chevy Chase
Bank, Sodexho USA and the U.S. Social Security Administration. In addition,
the firm's roster of clients includes The Sallie Mae Fund, Shared Hope
International and the National Education Association.
